Welcome To The Royal Fairy Garden

Hear ye! Hear ye! You are hereby cordially invited to tea time in the royal fairy garden. The Fairy Queen herself has requested your presence at what will surely be a royally delightful miniature garden gathering.

When you arrive in the fairy garden, you will notice the regal golden gates that create an impressive entrance for garden fairies, pixies, and other miniature garden residents. Tall miniature plants and trees tower majestically overhead, greeting teeny-tiny visitors with their green leaves. Look closely, and you may spot the graceful Bonsai trees, a gift from a nearby garden. With their elegant limbs and gnarled trunks, they are a unique and beautiful addition.

It is a bit of a hike from the front gate to the miniature castle, but only for those without wings! Garden fairies can fly high above the miniature plants, zoom over the bubbling moat, and land squarely at the castle’s front door. Those among us who are wingless, however, will have to climb the winding stone steps that carry you up, around, and through the fairy garden. Along the way, you are bound to notice the lush fairy garden plants that push up against the stairs and spill over the stone walls. Succulents peek out from a pile of smooth pebbles and miniature shrubs create little hideaways for garden residents.

Look, there! To the side of the castle, you can spot a charming old garden shed hiding among the miniature plants. An old wooden fence, planted resolutely in the dark garden soil, plots out a veggie garden for the castle’s kitchen. Inside, there are all sorts of greens and grains growing. Further on, rows of flowering miniature plants create a pollinator garden fit for—well, fit for a queen, of course!

As you continue to climb the stairs, you will eventually come to an old drawbridge. They say a grumpy troll lives under the bridge, where he tries to dream up riddles that will trick passersby. Luckily, he is usually asleep, and the only evidence of his existence is an extra-large footprint in the mud near the moat. If you walk very quietly over the bridge, you can avoid waking him up.

On the bridge, take a moment to stop, breathe in the crisp, fairy garden air, and look around. Butterflies flit between miniature plants, fairies doze under miniature trees, and pixies play in the flower garden. Legends tell of a mysterious dragon who lives in a cave nearby. Though you have never spotted him, you expect that he would be a nice dragon, especially since he makes his home in such a lovely fairy garden as this one. They say if you follow the trail of pixie dust, you can discover the dragon’s home and uncover other garden fairy secrets. But there is no time for exploring today. You are headed straight for the castle.

As you bypass the glittering moat and leap across a few stepping stones, you finally see it: the castle! Its tower rises above the fairy garden’s misty morning like hope on the horizon. Its spire reaches for the clouds and ivy climbs its stone sides. Miniature plants crowd around it, creating a green frame for the impressive stone building. Have you ever seen anything quite this magical? The invitation says that tea will be served inside, so you better hurry! The Fairy Queen will be expecting you. Tell her “Hello!” from me!
